I've used a few torrent programs over the last 20 years, I switched just recently from uTorrent to qB as my private torrent group now started to use incompatible sized slices with uTorrent but none of the programs I've used have ever had this bug with these kind of public torrents / trackers.
or if we can, then only by having to scour every single torrent we add looking for bad trackers in it.
It is obviously not normal or common not to be able to use torrents from the world's most popular torrent sites, e.g. But it still 4 sec more than when I exit with all torrents I'm not sure how can I edit the tracker list by adding new good trackers to an existing torrent in my list if that's what you mean by choosing.Īnyway, we already found out that bad trackers are the cause of this qbittorrent bug, that they sometimes cause the program to take a long time to stop. Then I removed that particular tracker from both public trackers and the exit delay reduced exactly to 6 sec. Now only 2 public torrents are seeding with only 'working' trackers and exiting the program still takes 25-35 seconds. It's probably updating more of the time than working. However it's easy to spot that one tracker behaves different than the others: This is much slower updating and the updating goes frequently. The exiting delay was around 20 sec, then I removed the 'Timed out' trackers and the delay went down to 15 seconds. In the second turn, I Resumed the other 1337x.to torrent and firstly removed the 'No such host' trackers. Then I removed the two 'No such host' trackers (on the picture) and the delay suddenly reduced to 5-6 seconds. It didn't change the delay it's still around 35 seconds.
I Resumed only the first one (photo above) and removed 'Timed Out' trackers. I firstly thought I caught the problem and that popup may cause the log off delay as Windows may try to close that popup in the background during logoff but that's actually not the case because I then set the popup to "Always Yes" and shutting down qBittorrent still takes the same time, 10 to 40 seconds depends on how much torrent is actually uses bandwidth at the moment. Also it seems this popup comes up only when there is active bandwidth usage. Are you sure you want to quit qBittorrent?" That was new to me because I usually shut down my running programs with system shutdown. On the second try of quit qB I stumbled upon a popup window asking: "Some files are currently transferring. Meanwhile, the program doesn't quit and waiting for 5-10 seconds to 30-40 seconds depending on how much up and download is going on. fastresume files always update almost instantly, 1-2 seconds after pressed quit but that delay could be the explorer exe refresh rate so there's no problem with saving to these files. I quit several times from qbittorrent via notification area/right click and measure the times.
